QUESTIONS TO ASK BEFORE HIRING YOUR DJ…

• How much experience does the DJ have or customer references?

• Does the DJ have a professional/proper appearance?

• Does the DJ have a tentative format for the order of events at the reception?

• Does he have a diverse selection of songs for you to choose from?

• What kind of sound and lighting equipment does the DJ carry, and is it included in the price quoted?

• For how many hours is the price quoted? Today’s norm is three to four hours.

• How much for each additional hour? Is stated on the contract?

• Is Cocktail Hour music set-up included in the DJ’s price quote?

• Will the DJ set-up his equipment earlier, is setup time included in fee?

• Can he perform an elegant, professional job as a master of ceremonies, or would you want to hire a separate person to do the formal presentation.

• Will this DJ be personally at your event, or does he subcontract or work with someone else? Can you meet this other person?

• If hiring thru a music agent, will the DJ working for him meet with you personally before your event date?

PREGUNTAS CLAVES ANTES DE CONTRATAR A SU DJ…

• ¿Cuánta experiencia tiene el DJ o si tiene referencias?

• ¿Tiene este DJ un aspecto profesional?

• ¿Tiene un formato para organizar el orden en que deben ocurrir los acontecimientos de la recepción?

• ¿Tiene una diversa lista de música para su gusto?

• ¿Qué clase de equipo de sonido y de iluminación tiene el DJ?

• ¿Por cuantas horas es su contrato? Lo común hoy día es de tres a cuatro horas.

• ¿Cuánto serian las horas adicionales? ¿Esta escrito en el contrato?

• ¿Esta incluida la música del coctel y el equipo en el precio cotizado?

• ¿El DJ monta su con suficiente tiempo antes de su evento y también pregunte, si este tiempo entra en las horas de su contrato?

• ¿Puede este DJ realizar un papel elegante y profesional de Maestro o Maestra de Ceremonias? O ¿le gustaría contratar a alguien aparte para la presentación formal?

• ¿El DJ se presentará personalmente a su evento? ¿Trabaja sólo o manda a otro en su lugar? Si manda a otro ¿puede usted conocerlo?

• Si esta contratando a su DJ a través de un agente musical, recuerde preguntarle si puede tener una cita con el DJ asignado a su fiesta.
